What is the difference between DC charging pile and AC charging pile?

The charging pile is actually a charging station for electric vehicles, charging cars or buses. The DC charging piles and AC charging piles in the title are classified according to the charging mode. In fact, there is another kind, that is, AC and DC charging piles.
Nowadays, many countries advocate environmental protection and pure electric vehicles. For example, Shenzhen also encourages users to buy electric vehicles, and there are subsidies. Many residential areas are equipped with charging piles.

So how do AC charging piles differ from DC charging piles? There are generally three ways to connect automobiles with charging piles:
One is to use power supply cables and plugs connected to electric vehicles when they are connected to the power grid.
The second is to use independent active cables with electric vehicle connectors and power connectors

The third is the use of power cables and connectors connected to AC grids.

1. AC Charging Pile
The input and output of AC charging piles are AC. There are 7 wires in the general interface, and the seven wires are respectively:
L, N: Two lines of AC power supply
E: Ground wire, in the process of charging connection, first connect the protective contact, and finally connect the confirmation contact and charging connection confirmation head; while in the process of disconnection, first disconnect the control confirmation connector and charging connection confirmation connector, and finally disconnect the ground wire. CC:Charging Connection Confirmation
CP:Control validation
NC1、NC2:Spare contact

AC charging pile is generally smaller than DC charging pile, because its charging speed is a little slower than DC charging pile, that is to say, AC charging pile only provides power output function, in fact, there is no charging function, when connected with the charger on the car to charge the car. That is to say, it needs to be charged with a vehicle charger, so its power is generally not very large, generally 3.5KW, 7KW, 15KW and so on.
The DC charging pile contains nine contacts, respectively. DC+、DC-:
PE:Protected area
S+、S-:CAN Communication, Non-vehicle Charger and Electric Vehicle Communication
CC1、CC2:Charging confirmation
A+、A-:Auxiliary source positive and negative poles

Due to the high output power of DC charging piles, the general specifications are 30KW, 60KW, 80KW, 120KW, 150KW, 180KW, etc.
